Apache httpd 2.3.11-beta Released

Earlier today, the Apache httpd team released a new beta, version 2.3.11, which, when it does go live, will become Apache 2.4.  One of the neat things in the new version of Apache will be that the Event MPM graduates from Experimental to Fully Supported.

New modules we can get more familiar with are:
mod_allowmethods
mod_buffer
mod_lua
mod_proxy_fcgi
mod_proxy_scgi
mod_ratelimit
mod_reflector
mod_remoteip
mod_reqtimeout
mod_request
mod_slotmem_shm

The New Features in 2.4 page provides a very nice overview of all that will be new and changed when 2.4 goes gold.  To get started (and to hopefully provide some much needed feedback), download the Apache 2.3.11 Beta from a mirror near you.
