Frippery: Apple Red-Band Movie Trailers

Now that Apple is showing red-band movie trailers in iTunes, I get a much better feel for those movies that I will never get to see, that I really want to see, because I've got young children. I'd like to keep these kids as sheltered as possible. Sometimes I long for the days when I could simply lock my daughters up in a tower until a suitable marriage, (one that benefits me personally), could be arranged.

While reading a Wikipedia article about film trailers, I was surprised to learn that there are Yellow-band trailers, too, which I don't think I've ever seen but what shocked me was that the MPAA governs how long a movie trailer can last and that major studios are given one exception to the "trailers can be no longer than 2.5 minutes" rule each year. Now that is power!!
